Master Gardener class will soon begin!
23 July 2009 by Mac.
Come Grow With Us! The award-winning Fort Bend County Master Gardeners will have another great class beginning August 12, 2009. The 15-week class meets each Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Fort Bend County Extension Education Building, 1402 Band Road, Rosenberg, Texas (see map on home page). Each class is a different topic, such as landscape design, entomology, soils, herbs, trees, diseases, grafting and more.
Fort Bend County Master Gardeners are members of the local community who have the desire to become Extension educators. They are enthusiastic, willing to learn and help others, and are able to communicate with diverse groups of people. The deadline to register is July 29, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. Class size is limited. The tuition is $160 per individual and $255 per couple (share a manual). Requirements to attain the rank of a Certified Texas Master Gardener are the successful completion of the 15-week training course and 60 hours of volunteer service through Texas AgriLife Extension Service programs.
Applications can be obtained under “Training” on the Home Page. If you have questions, you can also call me at 281-633-7033. Don’t hesitate! Class is filling up!
