Most wonderful time of the year
You know the song, “it’s the most wonderful time of the year”….I know that is really about Christmas and the holidays, but I think that time of year starts now. The weather is changing and it is actually nice to be outside. Here in TX we start to experience our version of Fall.
It is the time of year that hot cocoa is appropriate and the colors in the landscape are gorgeous. We may not see it to the degree they do in the colder climates, but there are still things to enjoy and cherish right here in our own backyard.
What do you like about this time of year?

This is also the time of year for the FBCMG Fall Master Gardener Garden Tours! Last Sunday we saw 5 outstanding gardens and today (Sunday) there are 4 more on the schedule. But this is the last week of this very special event! Thank you to all of our garden hosts!

I like to watch the meteor showers this time of year. I also like to take a weekend and camp at state parks, enjoying the crispness in the air, the howls of the coyotes, the swooshing of the bats, the flights of butterflies, and the big blankets I use cause it gets really chilly at night!
It’s also a time to begin to reflect on my past year’s accomplishments and start planning Thanksgiving and Christmas parties!
